NYFW has always been something that I'm excited about after a couple of years making music in the U.S. This season is my favourite so far. I'm so happy I got the opportunity to work with the talented and lovely Mara Hoffman. Her positive energy naturally translates through her designs. When she invited me to walk for her fashion show I was over the moon. I've never done any runway but I asked her if I could just walk as myself, she said ofcourse, but "make sure you walk with your shoulders back". Which was a huge tip for me. As a kid I was a very shy petite girl, and at 17 I grew into this 5' 9" tall girl, and had no idea what to do with my height. Finally at this age I know how walk properly.

Some of my favourite parts of the show- the clothes, dancers, the speech in the beginning of the show, the music, and when I was asked to do a model's turban. The whole fashion show was so modest, but powerful.

The collection ; it is beautiful, I would wear every single thing. The fabric, the cut, the colour- everything was wonderful, and I'm so happy to be a part of something so special.

Check out marahoffman.com for the whole collection.
